Scantron Industrial Products Ltd is looking for an Electrical Drawing Engineer (*temporary contract role). Note: this role is on-site at Scantron in Taunton, Somerset, England.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for migrating legacy electrical drawings to SolidWorks Electrical. You will work under the direction of the Senior Systems Engineer and the Technical Systems Engineer. Responsibilities include:
- Transferring existing electrical schematics into the electrical design package and creating associated Bill of Materials, parts list, etc.
- Creating new components and adding them to a parts database for future use.
- Creating new cable types and adding them to a cable database for future use.
- Creating new symbols and adding them to a database for future use.
Qualifications
- A knowledge and understanding of electrical/electronic machine control systems.
- A knowledge and understanding of how to proficiently use electrical design software packages (SolidWorks Electrical preferred but not required).
- Knowledge and understanding should include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Ability to leverage existing electrical systems software design knowledge to SolidWorks Electrical.
- Assist others and help build their knowledge, understanding and abilities in the use of the SolidWorks electrical design software.
