Our laser Doppler technology measures products like wire, paper, building materials, and plastic film. In many cases, these gauges can replace encoder wheels. Encoder wheels often face issues like slippage, vibration, wear, or dirt and grease accumulation. Switching to non-contact measurement reduces ownership costs and eliminates recalibration needs. It also enhances production accuracy, minimizes waste, and maximizes yield.
This technology is already in use across various industries, including steel, metals, and fabric production. It’s also used in gypsum and plasterboard line control, and more. You can even use these sensors to measure and count discrete parts after production.

The InteliSENS gauges are robustly engineered and come with a leading suite of mounting, environmental protection, and application-matched designs. For example, they offer standoff distances of up to 2.5m for hot metal applications. Furthermore, they come in compact ‘mini’ versions for integration into tight spaces or alongside other measuring devices. Additionally, various communication options allow you to connect the sensors to PLCs.
We provide environmental enclosures with integrated or standalone air-wipe windows, water and vortex air cooling, single or double heat baffles, and heavy-duty double-wall housing. Air filtration units are also available to remove oil, moisture, and dust from compressed air.
